Larry’s Lines. . .

By Larry Murphy, Executive Director

Happy New Year!  I hope that 2021 is off to a great start and you are busy serving in Christ’s name.

As we face a new year let us face it together in prayer not in a spirit of fear and anxiousness.  Paul said in Philippians 4:6-7, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  Paul tells us we can bring everything to God in prayer, we can bring ourselves to God in prayer, and that we should bring all our prayers to God in thanksgiving.  We should pray and believe that the new year will be one filled with hope and thankfulness.

“Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth.  Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.  Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.” – Psalm 96:1-3

So as we pray for 2021 let us remember the love of God and that He only desires the best for us.  His wisdom for us which knows more of what is best for us is more than we could imagine.  We must trust His power and His perfect peace.

We can only stand the fiery darts of the devil through prayer.  So as 2021 is on us let us entrust ourselves and all we love and hold dear to the hands of God.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
