Dear MCCA Partner,
As you know, a terrible earthquake struck Turkey and parts of Syria on February 6. The death toll now is above 50,000.
Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief is partnering with sister organizations in the field to bring help, hope and healing to people affected by multiple, massive earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. They are asking for either donations of monetary gifts or specific items that will be shipped though our partners.
If you and your church elect to send money, you can do so by sending it through our Madison-Chester & Crockett Baptist Associational offices. Or if you prefer, you may also send it directly to the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board, Disaster Relief. Either way, please indicate on your memo line that your monetary gift if for Turkey and Syria earthquake relief.
If you and/or your church members rather give relief goods, I am attaching a document of acceptable items.
West Jackson has graciously agreed to be the drop off point for donated goods for Turkey/Syria EQ Relief for the month of March:
Drop Off Point: West Jackson Baptist Church, 580 Oil Well Road, Jackson TN 38305
Drop Off Location: SW Entrance (a sign will be placed on the door “Turkey-Syria Donations”)
Drop Off Times: Monday to Thursday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Collection of donation items must be specific to the list provided (see attached) and the cut-off date for receiving physical goods donations is March 30 so that it can be delivered to Mt. Juliet by the March 31 deadline.
